Війна — це завмирання, зупинка, обрив звʼязку. Ми застигаємо у страху невідомості, втрати ідентичності, смерті. Війна стискає кайданами неволі, забирає право на життя. Наші воїни-герої виборюють перемогу ціною власного життя заради того, щоб життя повернулось, щоб життя неспинно плинуло, щоб життя бачили ми.
War is a freeze, a stop, a break in communication. We freeze in fear of the unknown, loss of identity, death. War tightens the shackles of slavery, takes away the right to life. Our hero-warriors choose victory at the cost of their own lives so that life will return, so that life will flow unceasingly, so that life will be seen by us.

Провідна ідея проєкту — зберегти наявний природний ландшафт волинських луків. Наші рідні ландшафти — то наше місце сили. Ці луки, поля, гори та море це те, за що ми боремось, те, що називаємо домом. У проєкті ми намагаємось лагідно зберегти та відтворити цей дім, адже наші полеглі герої та героїні повертаються додому, до своїх рідних краєвидів.
The leading idea of the project is to preserve the existing natural landscape of the Volyn meadows. Our native landscapes are our place of strength. These meadows, fields, mountains and sea are what we fight for, what we call home. In the project, we are trying to gently preserve and recreate this home, because our fallen heroes and heroines are returning home, to their native landscapes.

Проєкт пропонує виділити зону урочистих поховань та звʼязати її з двома основними входами за допомогою зелених насаджень — кущів калини.
Калина відіграє провідну роль в українському культурному символізмі. У старословʼянських мітах калина — символ життя, крові, вогню.
До того ж калина — український символ позачасового єднання народу: живих з тими, що відійшли в потойбіччя і тими, котрі ще чекають на своє народження.

Для виділення та розмежування секторів поховань проєктна пропозиція вбачає висадку молодих дубів. Дуб завжди займав особливу позицію в історії та культурі українців. По-перше, дуб споконвіку був оберегом козаків. Також, віковічні дуби у давніх піснях і думах, казках та легендах символізували могутність, незламність народного духу, невмирущість його душі.

The project proposal envisages the planting of young oak trees to highlight and demarcate burial sectors. Oak has always occupied a special position in the history and culture of Ukrainians. First of all, the oak was a talisman of the Cossacks from time immemorial. Also, age-old oaks in ancient songs and thoughts, fairy tales and legends symbolized the power, indomitability of the people's spirit, the immortality of its soul.

Новий український піксель — форма української армії з 2014 року і, безумовно, один із найважливіших символів російсько-української війни.
Піксель складається з різного розміру пікселів світло-коричневого, сірого і зеленого кольорів на піщаному тлі. Це забарвлення увібрало в себе українські степи та ліси, поля та луки, щоб захистити наших воїнів від ворожого ока.

Ділянка проєктування має дві широкі витоптані проїзні дороги та одну вузьку, що свідчить про зручні шляхи пересування пішки та транспортом крізь ділянку. Ці шляхи повʼязані з наявною мережею доріг. Головні входи в ділянку припадають на північну сторону, де розташований невеликий гай високих дерев та кущів. Пропонуємо використовувати та розвивати наявну планувальну структуру.
The design site has two wide paved roads and one narrow one, which indicates convenient ways of moving on foot and by vehicle through the site. These paths are connected to the existing road network. The main entrances to the site are on the north side, where there is a small grove of tall trees and bushes. We suggest using and developing the existing planning structure.

Нові дороги вздовж наявних шляхів формують кластери з ділянками, а гай дерев перетворюється на невеличкий сквер для паузи та відпочинку.
Площа для проведення урочистих заходів розміщена зі сторони головних входів на територію проєктувння, таким чином, зустрічає відвідувача та веде далі крізь сквер до місць поховань.

Основні дві дороги крізь ділянку, змішаного руху, мають змогу користуватися як автомобілі, так і пішоходи. Інші алеї, суто пішохідні, сполучають всі входи та перехрестя всередині та ззовні території проєктування.

Лаконічна і проста форма плити, допомагає зосередитись і підкреслює важливість імен та особистостей, які тут поховані. Посередині плити зображено символ ЗСУ, із місцем для лампади у центрі. Вогонь в центрі — відображення памʼяті про героїв, що сяє мов зорі вночі, та освітлює шлях у майбутнє.
The laconic and simple shape of the plate helps to focus and emphasizes the importance of the names and personalities buried here. In the middle of the plate is the symbol of the ZSU, with a place for a lamp in the center. The fire in the center is a reflection of the memory of the heroes, which shines like stars at night and illuminates the way to the future.

Головна ідея композиції — перенести відвідувачів у особливий емоційний стан. Саме тому ми спробували описати її через історію одного відвідувача.
Композиція меморіалу відкриває все нові й нові змісти, коли я наближаюсь до неї. Здалеку, видніється прапор — символ України, символ боротьби й свободи, що височіє над просторами луків. Інсталяція в цей момент не помітна, вона розчиняється, ніби стає дзеркалом навколишнього середовища, бо виконана із дзеркальних металевих пластин. Я бачу стяг, я бачу блакитне небо і квітучі жовті луки. Я розумію за що ми боремось.
Я підходжу ближче, і бачу елементи інсталяції — металеві пластини. Їхня форма сувора і чітка, вони непохитні. Їхній матеріал — незламний. Вони стоятимуть тут завжди — віддано і вірно. Я починаю впізнавати у них постаті воїнів. Я продовжую дивитись — я бачу яскраві особистості, що гуртуються, і зрештою зливаються у єдиний щит — щит, що боронить мій спокій, щит, що спиняє ворога, щит, що підняв над собою прапор. Мій щит — то моя нація. Я розумію хто бореться.
Я підходжу впритул до щита. Я бачу викарбувані на плитах імена. Я бачу своє відображення, я відчуваю звʼязок із полеглими героями, відчуваю безмежну тугу за втраченими життями. Що варте такої ціни?
Крізь викарбувані на плитах імена я бачу мої рідні ландшафти, дерева і луки, сонце і небо. Я бачу життя, вільне, прекрасне. Я знаю для чого ми боремось.
Я низько вклоняюсь перед щитом. Дякую тобі, герою, що даруєш надію на життя!
The main idea of the composition is to bring visitors into a special emotional state. That is why we tried to describe it through the story of one visitor.
The composition of the memorial reveals new and new meanings as I approach it.
From afar, a flag can be seen — a symbol of Ukraine, a symbol of struggle and freedom, rising above the meadows. The installation is not visible at this moment, it dissolves, as if it becomes a mirror of the environment, because it is made of mirrored metal plates. I see a flag, I see a blue sky and blooming yellow meadows. I understand what we are fighting for.
I come closer and see the elements of the installation — metal plates. Their form is strict and clear, they are steadfast. Their material is unbreakable. They will always stand here — faithfully and faithfully. I begin to recognize the figures of warriors in them. I continue to look — I see bright personalities clustering together and finally merging into a single shield — a shield that defends my peace, a shield that stops the enemy, a shield that has raised a banner above itself. My shield is my nation. I understand who is struggling.
I approach the shield. I see the names engraved on the plates. I see my reflection, I feel a connection with fallen heroes, I feel boundless longing for lost lives. What is worth this price?
Through the names engraved on the plates, I see my native landscapes, trees and meadows, sun and sky. I see life, free, beautiful. I know what we are fighting for.
I bow low before the shield. Thank you, hero, for giving hope for life!
При розробці проєкту були враховані норми та правила, зазначені в інструкції про порядок поховання, утримання кладовищ і організації ритуального обслуговування в населених пунктах України.
Довгострокові рішення
Нормами передбачається перетворення у майбутньому територій кладовищ на сад чи парк. Проєкт передбачає збереження наявних дерев, а також пропонує ландшафтні рішення озеленення та покриттів, які також можуть бути використані у садах та парках.
Озеленення
Ретельно підібрані запропоновані рослини — дуб і калина — мають не тільки значний художній та символічний сенс, але і є вологолюбними рослинами, що запобігають накопиченню вологи в ґрунті та затримці процесу знешкодження та мінералізації. Запропоновані зелені насадження розміщені таким чином, що забезпечують аерацію та інсоляцію ділянок поховань.
Будівельні споруди
Проєкт пропонує дві технічні споруди, зазначені в інструкції: туалет та технічне приміщення для зберігання прапора, звуковідтворювальної радіоапаратури, аптечки, вогнегасника тощо.
When developing the project, the norms and rules specified in the instructions on the procedure for burial, maintenance of cemeteries and organization of ritual service in populated areas of Ukraine were taken into account.

The norms envisage the future transformation of cemeteries into a garden or park. The project envisages the preservation of existing trees, and also offers landscape solutions for landscaping and coverings, which can also be used in gardens and parks.

Carefully selected proposed plants - oak and viburnum - not only have a significant artistic and symbolic meaning, but are also moisture-loving plants that prevent the accumulation of moisture in the soil and delay the process of neutralization and mineralization. The proposed green spaces are placed in such a way as to provide aeration and insolation of the burial sites.
